I'm a friend of the author so her story had a personal interest for me. But the book is so beautifully written and her story so wrenching that I would recommend it without reservation.
Beautifully written. Full of emotion. Nina does a wonderful job telling her story and letting us in on her family life and traumatic personal experiences.
Very inspiring story. Mrs. Wheeler appreciates how lucky she is-it is amazing that she is alive.
This is an absolutely captivating book. I was and am so inspired by Nina and all her struggles, faith, and perseverance. It's also extremely touching to read about her incredible experiences to become a mother and to raise her two beautiful daughters.
The book draws your heart in from page 1 and before you know it you are there as a witness to the overwhelming true story of courage, strength determination and love. The book is well written and the author's technical descriptions of what is unfolding are exceptional. You most probably will need tissues. I give it 5 stars.
This is very well written ~ I was drawn in with the first page, and read it in one sitting! I had no idea the pain and suffering involved in heart disease and open-heart surgery. I now feel a part of her life, and wish I had just a small portion of her courage and her capacity for devotion to her family. Well done!!
This book was recommended to me because I live in the same town as the author. It was an amazing read. Reading Nina's story really puts things into perspective. By the time I finished the book (I couldn't put it down) I felt like I was part of the family. Nina is to be admired for her fight to survive and her family will make you wanna be a better person.
